Worcestershire World War 100 Needs You!
On 23, Jun 2014 | In Events | By Nicola Gauld
On Thursday 26 June from 11am – 3pm you are invited to come along to Worcestershire’s WW1 replica Bell Tent at The Commandery to share, donate or loan, stories, artefacts and memorabilia showing how World War One touched the life of you and your ancestors.
The event is part of the Worcestershire World War One Hundred project, the largest programme of events across England commemorating the First World War, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund and involving cultural and heritage organisations County-wide.
As well as bringing along any of your own World War One stories and artefacts at the event you will find out about the whole Worcestershire World War One Hundred programme and events taking place over the next four years, meet a VAD Nurse, handle some WW1 objects and enjoy performances by Vesta Tilley.
Please feel free to circulate this information through your networks, to your colleagues and friends to support our call for Worcestershire residents to donate or loan their artefacts to help commemorate the role Worcestershire played in World War One.
We shall look forward to seeing you. If you would like to find out more about Worcestershire World War One Hundred visit: www.ww1worcestershire.co.uk
