The Diary of Dorothy Priest, September 10th 1914

No more news from France.  The Oceanic has been wrecked off the north of Scotland, but all were saved.  She had been turned into an armoured cruiser to guard the North Sea.  Magnificent offers of help of all sorts, men, money and personal service, have come from all over India.
