Still good news. We have driven the Germans back 40 miles and captured 1,500 men and guns and maxims.
Apparently the rout has begun and the Germans are on the run away from us, but I am afraid it will be some time before we can make peace. IN GREEK ‘Pat said in her letter that K [Kitchener?] had been in Paris but this is strictly private’.
