Event: It’ll all be over by Christmas
On 12, Nov 2014 | In Events | By Nicola Gauld
On 19 November The Birmingham Storytelling Cafe will commemorate the centenary of the First World War by sharing the stories and poetry from 100 years ago.
Let our resident performers extraordinaire treat you to a varied evening of fun, fellowship and moments of reflection as we remember the war that should have been “over by Christmas”. Enjoy the Tale of The Christmas Day Truce, the strange story of how Stubby the bulldog achieved the rank of sergeant and how a messenger pigeon from The Lost Battalion of 1917 came to acquire world fame – and an artificial leg.
