Nothing big has happened for some time now.
Daddy says how men are settling down in the trenches for a long stay, which seems as though our plans are to wear out the Germans while they are out of their own country and we are in friendly territory. I can hardly realise since we heard that Bobs was dead. He is buried in St. Paul’s by Nelson and Wellington, but not forgotten. The nation, like R.F.S. [?] is making use of its feeling for him to stimulate recruiting and to collect money for good causes etc.
