BIRMINGHAM TRIBUNAL.
A HARD CASE.
Mr. H. K. Beale presided over the First Court of the Birmingham Tribunal yesterday.
A tobacconist and hairdresser in applying for exemption said he had a seven years’ lease of the premises. He had been established 13 years and if he had to serve in the Army he would have to close down his business. His father, who was the joint tenant, was deaf and dumb. Applicant had spent £125 in alterations to the premises, and had a big stock.
The Military Representative: It was a hard case.
One months’ exemption was granted.
