BIRMINGHAM CHILDREN FOR CANADA.
Eighty-four children from the Middlemore Homes (52 boys and 32 girls) left Birmingham yesterday for Liverpool on their way to Canada. The children are under the care of Mr. Jackson, who will accompany them to Nova Scotia. They will then be sent to farms in Western Canada and Newfoundland. The children, whose ages range from about three to fourteen years, were in high spirits, and were eagerly looking forward to their journey.
