Exhibition: Connected Histories: Muslims in the First World War
On 06, Oct 2016 | In Exhibitions | By Nicola Gauld
Xtra Mile West Midlands CIC invites you to the exhibition launch for Connected Histories: Muslims in the First World War.
This Heritage Lottery Funded project explores the role of Muslims in the First World War. Through the stories of descendants, the exhibition focuses on the connection between Muslims living in Birmingham today and those ancestors who served for Britain in the First World War.
Working with Birmingham Museums Trust, we hope to help people reflect upon the complex nature of the war and those, whether Muslim or indeed any other background, who served for Britain as part of the Empire.
Please join us at:
6.00-8.00pm, Thursday 20 October
Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery
Chamberlain Square, Birmingham, B3 3DH
Light refreshments will be served.
To confirm you are attending, including anyone else you wish to bring, please email:
