The Women’s Peace Crusade 1917-1918 in the North West
The Women’s Peace Crusade project explored the development of the generally unremembered Women’s Peace Crusade in the industrial North during the last two years of the First World War, focusing on a number of key towns in East Lancashire and Greater Manchester. The project resulted in a short film which will be screened on the following dates:
March 5th at 12.15pm, Alexandra Park Lodge, Manchester
March 7th at 2pm, Blackburn Library
March 8th at 7pm, Oldham Library
March 9th at 1pm, Bolton Library
March 20th at 2pm, Inspire, Levenshulme (tbc)
April 23rd at 2pm, Pankhurst Centre, Manchester (tbc)
May 24th at 2pm, Working Class Movement Library, Salford
November 4th, Peace History Conference, Working Class Movement Library, Salford
November 9th, Burnley History Society (tbc)
