P.S.A.’S JUBILEE.
KING’S HEATH SOCIETY’S 25 YEARS OF USEFUL WORK.
The King’s Heath P.S.A, Society, who meet King’s Heath Baptist Church, held their annual meeting on Saturday, and commenced their new year yesterday. Established in 1892, the society has thus accomplished a quarter of a century of work and it was stated in an annual report by Mr. F. Lane that in spite of all difficulties the society was in a vigorous condition, with a membership of 250 and an average attendance of 160. Twenty-seven members were with his Majesty’s forces. It had been hoped to celebrate the 25 years of the societies existence with special meetings but owing to the present difficulties of travel and other circumstances connected with the strain and stress war time, it had been decided to postpone these celebrations until a more convenient and happier time. The Rev. J. L Roderick, B.A., who was re-elected president, gave an interesting statement at yesterday’s meeting bearing upon the past quarter of a century of useful work.
