BIRMINGHAM BOYS’ BRIGADE.
Considerable interest was evinced in the annual demonstration by the Birmingham Branch of the Boys’ Brigade in the Central Hall last evening. Lord Leigh presided, and was accompanied by Lord Ilkeston. In proposing a vote of thanks to the chairman, Lord Ilkeston remarked that it was most refreshing to see boys to whom they looked to carry the work of the future so smart and so successful as the members of the Birmingham Branch had shown themselves that night. He was sure all the boys when they grew up would be grateful to that organisation which had done so much for their welfare, and had pointed out the path which would eventually make them useful and capable citizens. Lord also expressed appreciation of the efficiency and smartness which the lads had displayed.
