ANTI-AIRCRAFT GUN PRACTICE IN BIRMINGHAM
The military authorities propose to engage in anti-aircraft gun practice, with blank ammunition, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., during the current week in Birmingham. It may not be possible to give more precise notice to the public of the event, because its predictability will depend on weather conditions and other circumstances. The inhabitants, therefore, are notified that, if any evening during the week they see in the sky what appears to be an airship, with searchlights thrown upon it, and there is heavy artillery fire, there will be no occasion for alarm.
