LIGHT POLICE COURT
There was a light holiday mist at the Birmingham Police court to-day. Seventeen cases were down for hearing, and five magistrates in two courts disposed of these in less than half an hour. By 1.30 the courts were clear. Of the seventeen six were soldiers who had overstayed their leave, five were charged with drunkenness, and one with refusing to give up a railway ticket. In a charge of wounding and another serious charge the accused persons were remanded.
