RATIONING THE HORSES.
At a meeting yesterday the Lighting, Stables, and Refuse Disposal Committee of the Birmingham City Council requested the veterinary superintendent to alter the food rations of the whole of the Corporation horses, which number about 600, by reducing the amount of grain by 25 per cent, and substituting hay and straw.
