PRISONER OF WAR
Rifleman W. L. Toon K.R.R., son of Mr. and Mrs. Toon, 1, Newton Cottages, Abbey-Street, Hockley, Birmingham, who was reported wounded and missing on 23 April, is now a prisoner of war at Langensalza. He is a native of Horninglow, Burton-on-Trent, where he enlisted on 29 November, 1915. A postcard has been received from him to the effect that he was wounded in the knee, and has undergone an operation, a part of the knee having been taken away.
