“TAUGHT TO PICK POCKETS”
A boy, aged eight, was before the magistrates in the Birmingham Children’s Court, today, charged with pocket-picking. When arrested by Detective Sterry he said, “Me and Sammy had six purses,” adding that the other boy “learnt him how to take purses.” In placing the lad on probation for two years, the Bench suggested that “Sammy” should be warned.
