GROCERY EXCHANGE FETE AT EDGBASTON
The 33rd garden party and fete organised by the Birmingham Grocery Exchange on behalf of the Commercial Travellers’ Schools and Benevolent Institution was held at the Botanical Gardens, Edgbaston, today. There was a full programme of events, including vaudeville performances by “The Greys,” and a concert in the evening arranged by Mr. Sidney Stoddard. The Bournville Prize Band attended, and further entertainment was provided by the 1st Troop of Boy Scouts. There were also races for boys and girls, a travellers’ bag and display race, a six-a-side tug-of-war for members of the Exchange, and a balloon race for members of the Exchange, and a balloon race for members of the ladies’ committee.
