FAMOUS FOOTBALLER’S ILLNESS
Jesse Pennington, the famous West Bromwich Albion full-back, has been operated on for appendicitis in a Birmingham nursing home. He realised early last week that it would be necessary for him to undergo such an operation, which has been successfully performed. It is scarcely probable that Pennington will be in a hurry to start football again, and the likelihood is that he will not be seen in the field during the coming season.
