A SCHEME FOR THE CONTROL OF TEA
It is stated on the authority of Mr. William Clayton, a director of the Co-operative Wholesale Society, that a scheme for the control of tea, submitted by the Wholesale Society, has been accepted by the Government.
In Mr. Clayton’s opinion the scheme will be effective, and do away with the middleman and his profits altogether. There is every reason to believe, he declares, that better supplies of tea will be reaching this country shortly.
