BOYS CHARGED WITH HOUSEBREAKING
Three boys named Harold Sanders, 27, Malvern Street; Albert Tomey, 52, St. Paul’s Road; Leonard Newman, 57, St. Paul’s Road, were charged before Lord Ilkeston (Stipendiary) at the Birmingham Police Court, today, with breaking and entering the dwelling house of Bernard Payter, butcher, 245, Ladypool Road, and stealing a gold watch and 16s. in money.
Prosecutor locked up his premises on Monday morning and on returning home in the evening found the door had been forced open, the rooms ransacked, and the watch and money stolen. The boys were subsequently arrested at Stoke-upon-Trent by Detective W. Draisey.
They were remanded.
