MOTOR SMASH AT KING’S HEATH
An extraordinary accident happened last evening in High Street, King’s Heath. A motor-car, belonging to Mr. C. Weare, confectioner, Alcester Road, King’s Heath, was being driven by Harold Carter, when a woman crossed the road. In trying to avoid an accident the car came into collision with the iron electric tram supply box, at the corner of York Road, completely wrecking it and exposing the wires. A bicycle left leaning against a tram standard near the box was also smashed. The car was badly damaged. Fortunately no one was injured.
