MARGARINE SHORTAGE
THE BUTTER AND TEA SUPPLIES IN BIRMINGHAM
During the weekend the position with regard to margarine supplies in Birmingham will probably be worse than it was a week ago, as grocers generally have not been able to get much supplies through.
Fortunately, however, there is an improvement with regard to butter, the supplies of which have come in better and in larger quantities than last week.
Not much difficulty is being experienced just at present with regard to sugar, although, of course, the supply is by no means sufficient yet to meet the demand, and tea also should be found to be more readily obtainable than it has been during the week.
