GIRL CHARGED WITH HOUSEBREAKING

In the Birmingham Children’s Court, today, Florence Wheeler (15), 3, back 123, Sherbourne Road, Balsall Heath, was charged with breaking and entering the dwelling-house of Leonard Young, 1, back 29, Barford Street, Balsall Heath, and stealing 14s. in money.

Mrs. Young, after securing the premises, left for work at 8a.m. on Tuesday, and on returning at 6p.m. found they had been entered and the money stolen. When interrogated by Detective Draisey, the girl at first denied any knowledge of the robbery, but afterwards admitted she entered the house by means of a false key.

Other charged were mentioned against Wheeler, and she was sent to a Reformatory School.
