FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT IN CHEAPSIDE
A verdict of “Accidental death,” was returned at an inquest today on Eliza McKenzie (63), 3, Lower Darwin Street, Birmingham. Accompanied by her grandson, aged 2, Mrs. McKenzie left home about six o’clock on Thursday afternoon to go into Cheapside to get some tea. While crossing that thoroughfare she and the boy were knocked down by a motor-car. Both were severely injured, and were conveyed to the General Hospital, where the woman died on Saturday. The boy remains under treatment.
