FATAL SEQUEL TO GUN ACCIDENT
BIRMINGHAM EX-GROCER’S DEATH
At Shoeburyness today, a verdict of “Accidental death” was returned in connection with the death of John Frank Bannister (40), an Army Gunner, who died on Christmas Eve from shock following the amputation of his right leg, which was injured in a gun accident on December 15. He was a grocer carrying on business in Birmingham before joining the Army, and he leaves a widow and family.
