BIRMINGHAM FOOD CONTROL COMMITTEE
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO HOUSEHOLDERS AND RETAILERS
BACON AND HAM-REGISTRATION ON MEAT CARD
Instructions have now been received that this registration must be effected on the Meat Card. The following Instructions apply:
1.- (a) The holder of the Meat Card will on the back of the Counterfoil at “G” sign his name and write his address and date of signature
(b) In the case of a Child’s Card the Householder will on the back of the Counterfoil at “G” sign his name and write his address and the child’s name and date of signature.
2.- Then take the Card to the Retailer with whom you wish to Register. The Retailer will write or stamp his name and address at “F” on the front of the Counterfoil and will also write or stamp his name and address diagonally across the unperforated centre of the Card obscuring the writing on the Card as little as possible. Retailers will detach and keep the Counterfoils and must take great care of them as they will have to produced to the Food Office later.
3.- Where Registration for Bacon and Ham has already been effected on the Household Tea and Butter Card take your meat Cards filled up as above and Register with the same Retailer.
4.- After April 7 Bacon and Ham can only be obtained on presentation of a Meat Card with coupons for the quantity purchased.
