A £25,000 DEBT.
SPECIAL APPEAL ON BEHALF OF CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL.
A big effort was called for at the annual meeting of Birmingham Children’s Hospital yesterday to reduce the sum of £25,000 which is still required to meet the deficit in connection with the building and equipment of the new King Edward Memorial Hospital in Ladywood-road.
The Chairman, Mr. E. Cheshire, in moving the adoption of the report, said to pay off this debt they were issuing an appeal, and a flag day was held June.
The Chairman, in conclusion, mentioned the interesting fact that the new children’s hospital was now one the largest institutions of its kind outside London.
