EATEN SOME OF IT

Described as a discharged soldier of no fixed abode, a young man named Ernest Albert Durham was committed for trial at the Coventry Quarter Sessions on a charge of breaking into a cottage at Ryton-on-Dunsmore, and stealing articles of food.

The articles included three small loaves, ½ lb. of margarine, 1lb of bacon, and 12 eggs, and when arrested he said he had eaten some of the food.
