CONCERT IN AID OF THE BLIND
The Midland branch of the National Institute for the Blind now looks after the welfare of no fewer than 1,099 men who have lost their sight as a result of the war. With the object of providing funds for this praiseworthy work a concert was held in Birmingham Town Hall last evening. The audience listened with appreciation to items contributed by Miss Muriel Port, Mr Sidney Stoddard, and the Birmingham Corporation Tramways Military Band, augmented by professional musicians of the A.M.U. the work of the Institute was commended in an address by Mr. J. A. Bonathan, himself a blind man.
