INDUSTRIAL VILLAGES.
Scheme for Employment of Partially Disabled Men
A proposal for providing permanent employment for partially disabled service men by the establishment of industrial villages was outlined by Mr. T. H. Mawson, town-planning lecturer at the Liverpool University and a prominent member of the Industrial Villages for Partially Disabled Soldiers and Sailors Committee, London, to the Birmingham Rotary Club to-day.
While it was estimated that two-thirds of such men would return to their old employment or find employment suitable to their degree of disablement, it was the remaining third that the proposals were intended to benefit.
