BIRMINGHAM “C.O.” SENTENCED
H. Barratt Brown, lecturer at Woodbrooke Settlement, Birmingham, and one of the best known of the younger Quakers, has been sentenced to 12 months’ hard labour for refusing to obey military orders. This is his second sentence, as he has already served 112 days in Wormwood Scrubs Prison for a similar offence.
