BIRMINGHAM AND “FLU.”
The decline of the influenza epidemic continues in Birmingham, where there were only 28 deaths last week, as compared with 68 the previous week, and 159 in the week ended 14 December.
The death rate from all causes fell to 11.0, against 16.3 during the previous week, and 13.2 in the corresponding week of last year, while the rate of infant mortality was 81, as compared with 106 in the corresponding period of 1917.
