Project: Combat Stress 100
On 21, Oct 2020 | In Resources | By Nicola Gauld
This Armistice Combat Stress is launching a ground-breaking new campaign: Combat Stress 100 – a true insight into the impact of living with military trauma. Unfiltered, unguarded and profoundly moving accounts from UK veterans highlight the agony of living with PTSD and the toll this, and other complex mental health conditions, can have on veterans and their families.
Through the content of the project (over 70 interviews with veterans, family members and our staff), Combat Stress are asking the nation to listen, watch and learn about the impact of military trauma on former servicemen and women.
The Combat Stress 100 project, undertaken to mark the charity’s centenary, was made in partnership with reminiscence charity Age Exchange. It was made possible thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and of course the veterans who so bravely shared their stories.
Over the coming weeks, Combat Stress want as many people as possible to listen, watch and learn about the impact of military trauma.
The campaign includes Combat Stress 100 Podcast, Combat Stress 100 film (to be launched on 4 November 2020), Combat Stress: The Living Archive.
