These Dangerous Women! Manchester Women and the Hague International Congress 1915
Talk by Dr Alison Ronan, Manchester Central Library, 30th March 6pm
Dr Alison Ronan will give a short illustrated talk about the political intrigues surrounding the election of the Manchester delegates to The Hague International Congress of Women in March and April 1915 and the subsequent development of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom through the city and the region.
Two short films will form part of the talk. The first features young Manchester anti-war women reflecting on the suffragist legacy.
