Talk: Birmingham Children of War Project
On 03, Nov 2016 | In Events | By Nicola Gauld
Volunteers from the Friends of Birmingham Archives and Heritage will talk about their Heritage Lottery Funded Project: Birmingham Children of War.
They have been delving into the archives to see what they can find out about the experiences of children growing up in Birmingham during the First World War. What was the impact on their education and health or the employment prospects of teenagers? How were they involved with supporting soldiers at the front, those being treated in Birmingham’s military hospitals or refugees from war-torn Belgium? Come and share our discoveries.
Wednesday 7th December at 7pm
Gunmakers Arms, 93 Bath Street, B4 6HG
