WAR BONUS TO APPLY TO ALL MALES
An important interpretation on the wages advance to the Clyde engineering and foundry trades has been given by Sir George Askwith. He says the 5s. weekly advance, having been granted to meet the increased cost of living, it should be given generally to males of 16 years and upwards. This will affect a large number, as hitherto several employers have refused an increase to men under 21.
