FORMATION OF A LADIES’ COMMITTEE

In connection with the Birmingham branch of the National War Savings Association a Ladies’ Committee has been formed. Its main objects will be to encourage economy and thrift among women of all classes, and to impress upon them the necessity of helping the nation by buying National War Savings Certificates and National War Bonds. The Lady Mayoress had consented to act as chairman of the committee.
