Talk: Women and the First World War in Birmingham

Talk by Dr Siân Roberts at the Library of Birmingham, 24 March 2018
The talk will focus on women’s experiences of war in Birmingham and the different roles that they played in supporting and opposing the conflict. It will draw on research undertaken by Siân for her book Great War Birmingham: Remembering 1914-1918 published by The History Press in 2014, and subsequent research in the archives in Birmingham and elsewhere.
