“FLU” IN BIRMINGHAM
CHILDREN AND THE CINEMA
The Local Government Board’s regulation also provides that wherever schools are closed by reason of the existence of the epidemic, no children are to visit places of entertainment. This will not only mean the abandonment temporarily of children’s cinema matinees, but will also apply to theatres and music halls.
There has been no development locally so far as the closing of the public schools are concerned.
