FRAUD BY SOLDIER’S WIFE.
At Warwick, yesterday, Florence Poulton, of 7, Rosebery Street, Birmingham, was fined £5 or 28 days’ imprisonment for obtaining money false pretences from the Warwickshire Territorial Forces Association. It was stated that her husband, who is in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, failed to return to France from leave in March, and was subsequently reported missing. Notification was sent to his wife, and it was eventually discovered that he had been living all the time with his wife, who continued draw separation allowance.
