EVADING MILITARY SERVICE
Albert Harris (35), 204, Darwin Street, was committed to await an escort for being a deserter from the Royal Warwickshire Regiment. The evidence showed that Harris had been away from the army for eighteen months. Police-constable Willis, who arrested him in Lombard Street, stated that accused had in his possession a National Registration card of a man named Ball, indicating his discharge from the army in August, 1916, and a Medical Board certificate in the same name showing that the holder had been recently passed Grade 3.
