To commemorate the centenary of the First World War, the University of Birmingham’s Centre for War Studies is delighted to announce the first of a series of lectures by distinguished international historians on important themes to do with the conflict.

On April 29th Professor William Philpott (King’s College, London) will deliver the John Terraine Memorial Lecture 2014, titled ‘Attrition on Five Fronts’.
