The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain marks 100 years since the ‘war to end all wars’ with a newly commissioned show exploring popular music from the time.

How do we reminisce and connect through music? Music conjuring ordinary life can be a very welcome comfort when you are scared and a long way from home, but can also be used to make bold statements, stir controversy and send a message.

When war makes life so unutterably hard sometimes all you can do is laugh, and sing…and play the ukulele. Hear songs and music from around the world rub shoulders with pacifist, political songs and ‘old time’ tunes in this entertaining and thought-provoking show.
