Last orders: Local Families on the Brink of War
17th – 20th October, 10am-5pm, Leintwardine Community Centre
An exhibition recording life for various local families. We look at their interests and opinions, as they go about their normal daily business up until the first moments of war. We then see how much the next four years changed the expected course of their future. The information is based on a local newspaper published from 1909 to 1919, and broadened by many photographs, registers, letters and accounts from the Leintwardine History Society archive collection.
